Connect With a Mentor in BC

MentorConnect links newcomer professionals like you with experienced BC mentors in your field.

MentorConnect connects skilled global talent and established professionals for occupation-specific mentoring.

You have the education, experience, and language skills to succeed in the Canadian labour market. A mentor can help you better understand the Canadian context of your profession, workplace culture, and how to translate your skill sets.

MentorConnect provides up to 12 hours of mentoring over a two-month period.

Have a question about our programs for talent?

To be eligible for TalentConnect, you must live in BC or plan on moving to BC. For ASCEND and FAST, you must be in Canada and meet their individual eligibility requirements. MentorConnect is for new professionals in BC.

IEC-BC’s talent programs are designed to help you integrate into the workforce and take full advantage of your skills, abilities, and experience. However, we are not a dedicated immigrant service organization, and cannot offer individualized help with resumes, interview preparation, etc.

There are many immigrant service organizations operating in communities across BC and Canada, many of which can help you find a job as you access IEC-BC’s talent programs.

Not at this time. Our team takes great care to match you with the right mentor according to your skills, industry, and goals.

Our programs are 100% free.

No, IEC-BC does not offer language training. We encourage you to work with an immigrant service organization to assist you with this part of your career journey.
