Workforce development programs for newcomers

Internationally trained professionals have the skills and experience to succeed in Canada and massively contribute to growing businesses and the economy. But they often encounter barriers that prevent them from achieving their full potential.
IEC-BC’s skills programs help both employers and immigrants benefit by developing, supporting, and assessing valuable newcomer workplace skills. When talented immigrants can fully participate and contribute to the Canadian workforce, we all benefit.
FAST has modules for all newcomers with Canadian workplace and Indigenous history learning, as well as skills assessment in the following sectors: Biotech and Life Sciences, IT & Data Services, Accounting & Finance, Culinary Arts, Skilled Trades, Seniors Care (BC only).
Complete the 5 easy steps to unlock new opportunities and even connect with employers.
Developed in collaboration with employers, HR experts, Service Delivery Partners, and newcomers like you, ASCEND helps newcomers build careers in Canada with online learning modules and workshops.
Contact your immigrant service provider for more information, or join directly on the ASCEND website.
