Scaling Operations

Empowering BC’s Employers to Succeed

IEC-BC develops and champions a wide range of solutions for employers to attract, hire, and retain skilled international professionals, meet their labour force needs, and ultimately drive prosperity across the province.

Solving Talent Shortages

Connecting Employers to Immigrant Talent

By broadening hiring channels to include global talent, employers gain access to a deeper bench of qualifications where domestic supply is tight.

BC expects 1,200,000 job openings by 2034, according to the latest labour market outlook. But our demographic picture means that virtually all labour force growth will come from immigration.

With skills shortages costing Canada up to $4.7 billion annually, BC companies must be able to attract, hire, and retain skilled international workers to stay competitive, increase productivity and exports, and grow the economy.

Programs like IEC-BC’s TalentConnect link employers with job-ready talent to solve talent shortages and drive business objectives.
